The Cambodian Hepatitis B (CHb) Project is a legacy project funded by the Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) which aims to decrease acute and chronic Hepatitis B in the Cambodian community by utilizing local media channels to implement prevention strategies designed to improve knowledge of Hepatitis B among Cambodians, and increase the number of patients screened for Hepatitis B.  The project also aims to increase advocacy among local, state, and national policy makers. For information, Please contact Sidney Liang at 978-322-8539.

Hepatitis B and C are among the leading causes of preventable deaths worldwide. One in 10 Asian and Pacific Islander (API) Americans have chronic hepatitis B infection compared with 1 in 1,000 of Caucasian Americans.
